Sports Exercise and Coaching

 

This BTEC National Extended  Diploma in Sports Exercise and Coaching is a level 3 qualification equivalent to 3 A Levels grade C- A*  and 180 credits. It  is a full-time qualification. 

This diploma consists of 19 units with 8 mandatory units equivalent to 70 credits and 11 optional units equivalent to 110 credits being delivered over two years

What Next?

Students go on to study on Higher National or undergraduate degree programmes in Physical Education, Sports Science or Sports Coaching. Some students go straight into employment in the sport and recreation industries. They have the developed knowledge, understanding and practical skills required for future success in current and future employment in the sport and recreation industries, or for entry to a Higher National or undergraduate degree programme in physical education, sports science or sports coaching.

Specific Entry Requirements

Five GCSEs at grade C or above, or a Merit at OCR Level 2 in Sport and an interest in sport, both academically and practically.

Highlights: 53% of learners achieved a ‘Triple Distinction’ grade (equivalent to three A grades at A level), greatly exceeding the national figure.
