Situated on a single campus overlooking the city, students enjoy all the facilities of Wales’ leading sixth form college in a safe and friendly environment.

A Place for Prayer

The chapel is at the heart of the college in a beautiful and spacious setting. Here, Mass and other liturgies take place and the Blessed Sacrament is reserved for private prayer. The chapel provides a peaceful sanctuary for prayer and quiet reflection at lunch times. The sculpture of Christ Risen and Crucified behind the altar was inherited from Heathfield House School when St David's took over the site in 1987.

Hair and Beauty

We are fortunate to have both a hair and a beauty salon on the campus. These training salons are situated next to each other in the same building close to the main college. They are fitted with all the latest equipment and use top-of-the-range professional products .

Both salons have been designed to provide a first-class training opportunity for students in a commercial work-based environment.

As such, other students and the public are treated as customers in the privacy of these stylish salons where a highly trained team of tutors and stylists are on hand to supervise students' work and observe their interpersonal skills.

The salons offer a range of hair and beauty treatments at reduced rates from facials to spray tanning, hair colouring to massage in a relaxed and welcoming environment. There is late night opening and easy parking.

A Place to Study

All students have access to Moodle (a Virtual Learning Environment) which allows learners and staff to access course content and submit coursework from anywhere with internet access, including at home. There is wide access to the internet within a controlled educational environment.

The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is far more than a library. It allows students to work at their own pace in pursuit of their individual learning goals .

Specialist staff offer essential support for all programmes of study as well as advice on the use of learning resource materials.

Sport and fitness

As well as an all-weather training pitch teams can train and take part in competitions in the large purpose-built sports hall.

The sports hall has a large playing area with viewing gallery, teaching rooms and a fitness suite. The sports hall is also used by the local community for giving blood and for various events such the annual Christmas Mass and celebration. Students provide entertainment and welcome senior citizens from all over Cardiff for a party during the final week of the Christmas term.
