Members of St David's Student Council were on hand from 6-9pm to answer general questions and escort visitors around the campus. Upper sixth Psychology students also answered questions questions about their course and even conducted a live experiment in the annexe building. This experiment was devised by members of St David’s Psychological Society. It involved conducting an investigation to determine whether people could distinguish between fake and genuine smiles. A2 students Tina Sciacca and Chloe Stewart tested thier smiles on forty willing volunteers during the evening. The experiment, which takes less than five minutes to complete, will be repeated during the next Open Evenings on 27 and 28 January with other members of the society gauging the accuracy of people's reactions to different types of body-langauge.
